Other Trails Around the Community

The B&O Trail is not exclusive to Speedway. Our partners with the B&O Trail Association (BOTA) have set the standard for quality trails in central Indiana. Their trail currently extends 6.25 miles originating at Raceway Road and terminating at CR 500 E in Tilden, IN. The trail expansion in Speedway will one day connect to this existing trail in Hendricks County. Click below to find out more about their work.

The Indianapolis Cultural Trail exists in downtown Indianapolis as a sprawling system connecting local areas. It exists to “enrich lives and connect people and places through dynamic and beautiful experiences and use the Indianapolis Cultural Trail and Pacers Bikeshare program as a catalyst for economic growth.” The B&O trail through Speedway will soon connect to this trail.

While the Eagle Creek Greenway is still in the planning phase, the proposed route will run right through Speedway along the levee next to Eagle Creek. There was a recent announcement of a grant designated to the creation of this trail that will one day connect Zionsville to the Lilly Recreation Area just south of downtown Indianapolis.
